Pomfret is one of favorite. It's easy to clean and simple to cook. It's taste great when added in coconut gravy or simply fried. Best way to fry it is Tava fry or Shallow fry. I also love the rawa fry for Pomfret, provided it is a little spicy which makes the dish yummy :P
2 medium Pomfret fish cut into pieces
Oil for frying
Salt to taste

Marinate the Pomfret pieces in the following masala and keep aside for 10-15 mins. Adjust salt if needed.
1 tsp. Malvani Fish Masala (Available at local grocery stores) or any other Fish masala
1 tsp Turmeric powder
4 tsp. red chili powder
4 tsp tamarind juice (extract after adding warm water)
Method:
- Clean the Fish, apply a little salt and keep aside.
- Mix Malvani masala, Turmeric and Red Chili Powder.
- Apply the mixture to the fish pieces and keep aside to marinate for 1 hour [it taste better, but as I dint have enough time, I kept for max 20 mins]
- Shallow fry in oil till crisp Serve hot with onion salad and lemon slice.
