KingFish Cutlet

Today I took some pieces of fish for making cutlet. It was good and went well along the ghee rice. Kids will surely love such recipes. It is easy and quick to make too. Try making this simple recipe, you can use your choice of fish, or even chicken.

8 pieces of King Fish (cooked & mashed)
    2 Onions (grated)
1 big potato (boiled and mashed)
5 Garlic flakes very finely chopped
    1 small tbsp ginger (chopped)
    3 green chillies finely chopped

    1 small tbsp ajwain
    1 tbsp pepper powder
    4-5 curry leaves (finely chopped)
    Salt to taste
    6-8 tbsp Breadcrumbs
    2 Eggs (beaten)
    Oil for frying

  • Heat oil. Saute onion till it turns translucent. Add garlic-ginger, green chillies, ajwain and curry leaves and saute for a couple of minutes. Add pepper powder and salt and mix well.
  • Remove from fire. Add mashed potatoes and cooked fish to this and mix thoroughly.
  • Take small portions of this mixture and roll into oval shaped or slightly flattened cutlets.
  • Dip each cutlet in the beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs. Deep fry in hot oil. Serve with tomato sauce.
  • Also you could keep it in middle of ghee rice and serve.
  • It is a good recipe when your guests or friends come home, as it can be made quickly and also all will love it :)
