Watermelon Lemonade

 It's the best of summer when you can have lemonade and watermelon at once. Be sure to taste the watermelon first. If it's very sweet, reduce the sugar.

Ingredients: 
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
4 cups cubed watermelon
3 cups cold water
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
Ice cubes


Method:
  • Squeeze lemons into a large pitcher; add squeezed lemon quarters. Add sugar & stir until sugar is dissolved. Keep this aside. (The lemon juice here is concentrated)
  • In a blender, puree watermelon in batches until smooth; pour through a fine-mesh sieve into pitcher (you should have about 8 cups of juice).
  • Take a Clean serving glass add 2-3 ice cubes, add the watermelon puree 3/4 the glass , followed by the lemon juice 5-6 tbsp. Stir to combine. If needed add few crushed mint leaves for flavor.
